The ethnographic film Zvonko and Ivanka introduces the viewer to the life of an elderly married couple from a small village in Bela Krajina (Slovenia). Their relationship is shown through the making of matchwood and other work that is an important part of their everyday routine. The film was made for the Summer School of Visual Ethnography in Ljubljana, 2015.

Zvonko and Ivanka is a second common film project of Manca Filak and Žiga Gorišek. It was made for this year’s Summer School of Visual Ethnography in Ljubljana, 2015. Manca and Žiga both graduated at the Department of Ethnology and cultural anthropology and are now finishing postgraduate study of Ethnology and cultural anthropology at the University of Ljubljana (Slovenia). They have created their own ethnographic films that were screened at various Ethnographic film festivals around Europe. Manca’s film about an intimate love story of a girl with a cerebral palsy (I will carry you to the seaside, 2012) got a silver horse shoe prize at the international film festival Asterfest in Strumica (Macedonia). Their first common film project was film about the oldest sailor in Slovenia, Captain and his Friday (2013). They are currently working on a music documentary about MKNŽ youth club in Ilirska Bistrica (the oldest independent alternative youth club in Slovenia) and on ethnographic film Lukomir: The pastoral life on the frontier of changes (film about one of the most isolated villages in Bosnia).
