Angeles City is the former home of Clark Air Base, the largest US Air Force Base outside continental America, which was finally closed in 1991. The base favoured the raising of many brothels and men\’s clubs, turning the city into one of the most popular destinations for international sexual tourism in the world.

Davide Arosio was born on October the 31st, 1985. Since 2004 he directed several short movies including \”The Sand Boy\” (25 ° Torino Film Festival). From 2008 he has been working with Alberto Gerosa, together they produced several documentaries including \”Michelle\” (Vienna Biennale 2008), \”Xiao Pengke\” (26 ° Torino Film Festival) and \”Angeles City, Philippines\”, which participated in numerous Italian festivals (including Potenza International Film Festival – Audience Award, Bergamo Film Meeting 2010, Corto in Bra 2010 – Best Italian Short Film Award, Sedicicorto 2010 – Best Documentary). Alberto Gerosa graduated in Social Sciences with an ethnography on the integration of Italians in China. Previously, he worked for the DDM Warehouse Independent Center for Contemporary Art in Shanghai, was assistant curator of the international project \”Migration Addicts\” (Venice Biennale 2007), and collaborated with the Italian Cultural Institute of New York, organizing a retrospective of Pier Paolo Pasolini. He is currently carrying out a two years research master in social and cultural anthropology at the Universities of Ljubjana, Vienna and Stockholm.
